What is this?
Choosing among the best coffee makers in the market is a tough one. Regardless if it's a coffee press or a single serve coffee maker, a lot claim to be the best. And it leaves us with the question, which is the best of coffee maker in the market?

Because of this, consumers are often confused on which brand and model they need to purchase. No worries as we show you a guide on how you can choose which coffee maker is the right one for you and be considered the "best coffee maker."

Before anything else, we'd like you to know that expensive coffee makers don't mean they're the best. It's all a matter of perception for different people.

It all boils down to knowing your budget, your coffee consumption, kitchen size, taste (design and features), and even brand loyalty.

At the end of the day, the best coffee maker for you might not be the best one for your neighbor and vice versa.

Getting the best is all about you and if you're happy with the outcome of the machine or the coffee press.

Of course, you have to know that choosing a coffee maker is just part of making the perfect cup of coffee and not the sole reason. Having the best coffee makers is not synonymous to having the best cup. It's a process and I'm quite happy that you're here to learn more which one will suit you best.

So let's start the process!

In choosing the best coffee makers, you have to consider your:

Budget:

How much are you willing to spend to get one of the best coffee makers in the market?

There are more expensive ones but for home use let's not go overboard unless you really want and can afford it. For a lot of people, buying a coffee maker is heavy on the pocket that's why it's important to set a budget and work from there and alsocompare prices and features.

Coffee Consumption:

How much coffee does your household consume everyday?

If your family's usual consumption is 6 cups or less than what is used for a single serve coffee maker would do. But if you usually have guests over for the weekend or the holidays then a 12 or 14 cup coffee maker makes sense as they can easily make large batches of coffee in one brewing cycle.

The best coffee makers for you are those that would fit your consumption. Too much or too little will definitely make you disappointed.

Kitchen Size:

How much space do you have on your kitchen top?

Most full-sized coffee makers will take up a lot of space on your counters so it would be wise to consider one of the many space saver coffee makers in the market.

While there are many portable coffee makers out there so you could move them around, one worth considering are under cabinet coffee makers. These are for people who lack space in their kitchen.

You will be doing yourself a favor by knowing first how large your kitchen top is before buying a coffee maker.

Brand Loyalty:

Happy with your old coffee maker but consider upgrading? Why not stick with the same brand?

There are some consumers who show loyalty to some household names in the industry, that include Black and Decker, Cusinart, Braun coffee makers and more.

They're loyal because they trust the brand. This is important as it makes them feel safe that the product won't malfunction easily or their customer service is fantastic.

Even if it's not for coffee makers, brand loyalty really plays a big role. I've mentioned before that I have owned 2 laptops in the past 7 years and they're both Toshiba Laptop. I'm very comfortable with the brand and most of all I trust them.

Certain brands also have a unique way of setting up their buttons/features and going for the same brand the next time you purchase a coffee maker could shorten the learning curve. Whatever the reason is, they love the product and if a friend of yours has been loyal to it for the past couple of years, most likely it is a good coffee maker and it might just work for you too.

Features/Style:

What features do you want? Do you want a coffee maker with a built in grinder? Programmable or semi-programmable? Thermal carafe or the glass ones? Plastic or stainless steal body? Coffee press, vaccuum coffee makers or even percolators? Red coffee maker or how about a gray one? Anyone interested in an antique coffee pot?

There are some coffee makers that fit nicely to the design or feel of your whole place. If that's your top priority then go for it. You'll feel better overall when you have the product. There are a lot of features for different coffee makers and it could be really tricky. What we suggest is finding out what coffee maker features you want to have and write them down.

This tip would definitely help you narrow down which coffee maker best suits your taste. This could even help you lower down your expense on your coffee purchase.

Like we said before, having the best coffee maker doesn't necessarily mean that it should be expensive. If you're happy with the coffee and has good quality then you may consider it the best coffee machine. Choosing one doesn't have to be so tough as long as you've answered the questions and narrowed your choices.

For us, choosing the best coffee makers is fun! Hope you find it the same way too.
