Do you know who owns Seattles Best Coffee?

Seattles Best Coffee is run by a coffee brand called Starbucks, heard of them?

Seattle's Best Coffee Image

Well, Seattle's Best Coffee Company has been owned by Starbucks Coffee Corporation since 2003. People in the United States may know this but people around the world may not as their franchises in other countries may have been acquired before Starbucks' acquisition.

But you don't have to worry as SBC offers great tasting coffee wherever you are in the world as long as they have a branch in that country. Their being run by a solid company and their coffee drinks are standardized.

You can enjoy their Uncommonly Smooth brewed coffee, lattes modern organic varieties and even their frozen coffee drinks which they famously called JavaKula Blended Beverages in eleven countries, Hawaii and U.S. military bases.

History/Story

"Seattle hasn’t always been the center of the coffee universe. In fact, we used to serve as much bad coffee as the rest of the country. This began to change in the early ’70s, when our founder bought a secondhand peanut roaster and started roasting Arabica coffee at the Wet Whisker on Seattle’s Pier 70. His personal tastes in coffee were simple—he wanted it to be bold and full-flavored, but also smooth and mellow. So that’s how he roasted and blended his coffee—bold and smooth.

After the coffee craze took off in Seattle, a local restaurant held a taste-off among the major roasters to crown “the best cup of coffee in Seattle.” Much to our delight, our coffee took first place. To celebrate the occasion, we changed our name to Seattles Best Coffee.

Today, good coffee is fashionable everywhere, but we still believe that our customers prefer Seattles Best Coffee because of its Uncommonly Smooth™ taste." - Seattles Best Coffee Website

Seattles Best Coffee has more than 550 specialty coffee cafes, kiosks and other concepts in the U.S and around 20 states and provinces in the District of Columbia, Canada, British Columbia, Labrador and Newfoundland.
