The Tassimo Disc, as it is originally called, is a type of single serve coffee, which uses a unique technology to produce the "perfect" cup of coffee every time. This is different from its competitors, K-Cups and coffee pods. All in all these single serve coffee products are what you have been waiting for to save time to do other things more important to yourself if you have no time brew a pot of coffee and clean the mess after. So..why is it "perfect?" In the sense that each T-Disc contains a precise amount of 100% Arabica ground coffee, tea, chocolate or concentrated milk product, and is sealed to protect the delicious flavor inside. The Tassimo Disc is the secret why every cup you make is delicious and consistent from one cup to another. 
When you insert your choice of flavor inside any Tassimo machine, its patented design and technology reads the bar code printed on the T Disc's label. It then precisely adjust the amount of water need, the exact brewing time, and the right temperature to prepare your delicious cup of coffee or your favorite drink. What makes your cup consistent from cup to cup even if you use different flavors is because of the Unique Inverse Flow that happens inside each T Disc's mini-brewing chamber. From the moment you press the button until your cup is done in about 60 - 75 seconds, you know that your drink is prepared uniquely inside that chamber. Another thing that is a downside of this type of single serve coffee is that it can only be used for the Tassimo coffee maker / home brewing system and not in any other single cup coffee makers. They also have fewer varieties of flavors in terms of coffee but they make up for it by having tea from Twining's and fine hot chocolate from Suchard. What do we think? I love T-Discs and the technology that it offers - patented bar code to tell the Tassimo machine what to do. Sometimes it gets too easy though and you might end up drinking way too much coffee but that's the way you like it right? We're all for the T-Discs but we're hoping that more flavors are produced regardless if it's coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Single serve coffee like the T-Discs are just a joy to have. If you enjoy the final product more than the preparation of grinding beans and brewing coffee or if you are always on the go then single serve coffee is just what you need to save you time to do other stuff.
