What are the coffee beans used in the different types of coffee drinks I order? How many are there? The coffee bean types are thousands but only two to three are big players in the coffee industry. These are Arabica, Robusta and slowly being noticed, Liberica. Among the types, Arabica is the most produced which is at least 70% of the world's coffee market simply because it produces the best flavors. Robusta takes up 20-25% of the market and is known more for "instant coffee." The caffeine content also differs as Arabica, or coffea arabica is also half the caffeine (an average 1.1 percent) of Robusta beans.
